Welfare Grants

Welfare grants are available to help parents and carers of school age children with the costs of buying school uniform and other essential school equipment. School Home Support run this scheme on behalf of the Foundation.

● A child's first time at school - nursery or reception class
● Children starting their first year at secondary school
● Children who are moving schools

To make an application please call 0845 337 0850 or see the School Home Support Worker based in your child's school. The deadline for applications is 30 October 2008.

 


● PE kit
● after school and breakfast clubs



● home appliances or furniture
● childcare
● private education

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grants are available to help with:
● School uniform, including shoes
● books and equipment
● musical instruments

We cannot help with:
● computers
● clothing other than school uniform
● holidays


You can only receive one grant in any academic year and you will need to provide copies of the receipts for all the items that you buy with the grant.
