How to apply

If you have a project that needs funding (and you have checked it fits with our priorities) we would like to hear from you. Your work could change lives. And our funding could make it happen.

Application procedure

Raising Literacy and Numeracy Standards for early years and primary school students

  1. To request support under this category, you can apply at any time.
  2. The Chairman and the Clerk will review your application. We might ask for extra information. If your application is suitable, we will arrange a meeting to discuss your project in more detail.
  3. After we’ve met, the Foundation’s Strategy Committee will discuss your application.
  4. The Strategy Committee will make a recommendation about your project to the Board of Governors. The board meets quarterly, usually within a few weeks of the Strategy Committee meeting.
  5. You will receive a response within 2 weeks of the Board meeting.

Progression into Work

The Foundation launched its revised Progression into Work strategy in 2017, comprising two grants programmes:

'Earn While You Learn' - to increase opportunities for young people, aged 16-24, to 'earn while they learn', engaging in meaningful work through part-time jobs, paid work experience or traineeships, internships, and / or apprenticeships.

'Careers Education & Guidance' - to strengthen and embed improved careers education and guidance in Camden and Islington secondary schools so that all young people are effectively prepared for the world of work.

Sixteen multi-year grants were awarded across these two programmes.

These programmes are currently closed to further applications.
